Lori Karner

Lori Karner is originally from Miami and currently lives in Jensen Beach, FL. She completed her education at Florida International University. Lori began her career working in the ER. Before joining My Health Onsite, she worked as an ARNP with a local urgent care center. Lori has been working in the St. Lucie County area since 2009. She is experienced in occupational medicine and is also a certified Federal Motor Carrier Administration medical examiner. Lori strives to give quality care by practicing evidence-based medicine. She looks forward to helping her patients achieve their health goals by utilizing diet, exercise, and medication when needed. In her spare time, Lori enjoys spending time with her son, exercising, reading, and traveling.

If you are scheduled with one of our Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, who is licensed to practice autonomously, please know that the board of nursing has the authority to grant APRNs to practice autonomously under Section 464.0123 if the applicant demonstrates that they:

Hold a Clear, Active, Florida APRN License
Must not have been subject to disciplinary action as specified in s. 456.072, F.S. or s. 464.018, F.S., or any similar disciplinary action in any state or jurisdiction within the past five years.
Have completed at least 3000 clinical hours under the supervision of an allopathic or osteopathic physician within the past 5 years. These hours may include clinical instructional hours. See 464.123(1)(c), F.S. for complete requirements.
Submit proof of three graduate-level semester hours (or the equivalent) in differential diagnosis, and three graduate-level semester hours (or the equivalent) in pharmacology completed within the last five years.
When engaging in autonomous practice, an APRN must provide information in writing to a new patient about their qualifications and the nature of autonomous practice before or during the initial patient encounter.
