George Rankin MD, MS, CAQSM completed a BS at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA, an MS Public Health at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA and an MD at the UC Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento, CA.
Family Medicine Residency at the University of South Florida/Morton Plant Mease Program.
Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship in Albany, GA.
Work experience includes academic teaching of medical students, Family Medicine Residents and Sports Medicine Fellows at UC Davis and University of South Florida Schools of Medicine and Departments of Family Medicine.
Previous experiences as a team physician at the high school and NCAA Division I and II college levels.
Most recently worked as an outpatient based family physician.
Hobbies include cooking, playing tennis and guitar, digital audio music production and generally trying to escape the heat and humidity whenever possible.
Favorite cities in the US are Asheville, NC, San Diego, CA and the Big Apple.
Family includes one son who is a recent graduate from UF, one at Auburn University and youngest about to start high school.
Spouse is also a Family Medicine Physician.
My grandfather was a Purple Heart recipient and is buried at Arlington National Cemetary having served in Europe during WWII.

Have completed at least 3000 clinical hours under the supervision of an allopathic or osteopathic physician within the past 5 years. These hours may include clinical instructional hours. See 464.123(1)(c), F.S. for complete requirements.

Submit proof of three graduate-level semester hours (or the equivalent) in differential diagnosis, and three graduate-level semester hours (or the equivalent) in pharmacology completed within the last five years.

When engaging in autonomous practice, an APRN must provide information in writing to a new patient about their qualifications and the nature of autonomous practice before or during the initial patient encounter.
