Joey Vaccarella, MS, RD, LD has been a Registered Dietitian since 2014. He graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Florida International University in Miami, FL. He has over 9 years of clinical experience working in a hospital setting where he provided medical nutrition therapy to critically ill and high acuity patients. During his career, he also enjoyed precepting dietetic interns who would eventually go on to become Registered Dietitians.
He first started working as a Clinical Dietitian at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, FL, where he gained valuable experience in the Nutrition Care Process, Nutrition Focused Physical Exams and providing nutrition support for the critically ill. Joey was raised in Pompano Beach, FL and recently moved to Port St. Lucie with his wife and two kids.
When he’s not at work, you’ll most likely find Joey at the beach or the gym. He loves to surf and has been surfing ever since he was a kid. Aside from surfing, he also enjoys weight lifting, cooking plant-based meals and spending time with his family and friends.
