AJ has a Psychology Doctorate degree (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology and is a licensed Mental Health Counselor with the State of Florida. She has completed the Clinician Awareness Program by the Florida Firefighters Safety & Health Collaborative. This organization was formed to provide their members shared knowledge and resources based on best practices and research available from a myriad of confirmed resources. Behavioral health appointments are available Monday–Friday in the Port St. Lucie location. When making an appointment, choose “Behavorial Health Visit”.

If you are scheduled with one of our Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, who is licensed to practice autonomously, please know that the board of nursing has the authority to grant APRNs to practice autonomously under Section 464.0123 if the applicant demonstrates that they:

Hold a Clear, Active, Florida APRN License
Must not have been subject to disciplinary action as specified in s. 456.072, F.S. or s. 464.018, F.S., or any similar disciplinary action in any state or jurisdiction within the past five years.
Have completed at least 3000 clinical hours under the supervision of an allopathic or osteopathic physician within the past 5 years. These hours may include clinical instructional hours. See 464.123(1)(c), F.S. for complete requirements.
Submit proof of three graduate-level semester hours (or the equivalent) in differential diagnosis, and three graduate-level semester hours (or the equivalent) in pharmacology completed within the last five years.
When engaging in autonomous practice, an APRN must provide information in writing to a new patient about their qualifications and the nature of autonomous practice before or during the initial patient encounter.
