Racquel Vera-McLean
Autonomous APRN*
Coral Springs
Dr. Racquel Vera-McLean, a nationally certified primary care nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), has been an advanced registered nurse practitioner since 2000. She received her Ph.D. in Nursing and Masters in Pediatric Nursing (APRN) at the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Florida International University in Miami and her Family Nurse Practitioner post-master at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Dr. Vera-McLean’s areas of research and clinical expertise encompass child, adolescent, adult, and community health. Her work goes beyond the clinical setting as she strongly advocates for narrowing healthcare gaps, increasing life quality through the lifespan, and spotlighting the health and social needs of the vulnerable and diverse populations in the urban setting. Her impact is not limited to her research and advocacy but also to her role as a mentor. Since 2003, she has served in various leadership roles, from assistant to associate professor of nursing, at prestigious universities in South Florida, where she has mentored future nurses, contributing to positive change in our community.
