Payton Rankin, MD is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a special interest in weight management. She practices at the Gulf location in New Port Richey. She sees patients ages 10 to 110, and enjoys getting to know our county employees. She spent her formative years in Georgia, and attended the Medical College of GA in Augusta. She completed her residency in Albany, GA, and practiced in Sacramento, CA for 5 years before returning to the east coast in 2011 to be closer to family. She was voted best family physician in the Best of the Suncoast Readers' Choice in 2019, 2021, and 2022. When she is not trying to talk you into a colonoscopy or updated vaccines, she enjoys traveling, cheering at her son's soccer games, and eating her husband's delicious cooking. She also likes reading, re-watching old Ted Lasso episodes, and listening to any Taylor Swift album.
